Our General Business Group is a multidisciplinary practice dedicated to providing publicly and closely held companies with comprehensive counseling and assistance with a broad range of business and regulatory issues.

We offer a full range of general business and corporate legal services, assisting clients in the implementation and operation of their business ventures.

Attorneys in the Group provide focused services in, among others, securities law, health care law, trade regulation and antitrust law, mergers and acquisitions, telecommunications, intellectual property, and representation of tax-exempt and not-for-profit institutions. They also work closely with the firm’s tax, commercial/bankruptcy, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, and environmental attorneys to identify issues, solve current problems, and inform clients of legal developments that may affect business operations and decisions.

Working with the firm’s Employee Benefits and Labor & Employment Groups, attorneys in the Group assist in the development of employment agreements, and retirement plans, and to address other human resources issues, policies and practices.

Attorneys in the Group also coordinate their efforts on behalf of our clients with the firm’s Trusts & Estates Group to ensure that a company’s shareholders, members, partners, officers, and directors have their individual planning needs met, particularly as those concerns relate to succession planning.
