Hope For Easy Way Out of Employee Stock Option Rules,” published in the October 18, 2018 Law360 Tax Authority report and on the Law360 website. Christopher described some reasons why a provision (Section 83(i)) in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act meant to allow employees to defer federal income tax when exercising company stock options was not being wide-adopted.
