Kellogg, a partner in the firm’s Government Affairs practice, will be presented with the Donald D. DeAngelis ’60 Excellence in Alumni Service Award from Albany Law School. The award presentation will take place during the 2018 Grand Honors Awards Dinner and Ceremony on Thursday, September 20 at the Renaissance Albany Hotel.

The Donald D. DeAngelis ’60 Excellence in Alumni Service Award recognizes long and distinguished service to Albany Law School. A 2002 graduate of Albany Law School, Kellogg is a member of the Albany Law School Government Law Center Advisory Board and is former president of the school’s National Alumni Association.

Kellogg’s law practice focuses on representing a variety of New York State professional associations, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations before New York State government, including the New York State Legislature, the Governor’s Office, and state agencies. She monitors, analyzes, and reports on the status of pending legislation, communicates clients’ positions to members of New York State government and state agencies, drafts legislation on behalf of clients, and assists clients with strategy regarding government funding mechanisms and programs. Kellogg also advises clients regarding myriad government relations compliance issues, from procurement regulations to campaign finance and lobby and election law regulations.

Kellogg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from the State University of New York at Potsdam, and is a cum laude graduate of Albany Law School. She is chair of the Government Affairs Practice Committee for the American Bar Association Business Law Section, and serves as a board member for the National Association of State Lobbyists and the Potsdam College Foundation.

The Government Affairs practice at Harter Secrest & Emery monitors and often affects the progress of proposed legislation or regulations through its strategic involvement. The firm’s attorneys arrange for the introduction of bills, track the progress of proposed regulations, and lobby to secure or modify legislation and administrative action on behalf of clients.
