Jon Webster, a partner at the law firm Harter Secrest and Emery LLP (HSE), has been selected by World Trademark Review (WTR) for inclusion in its 2015 edition of WTR 1000 – World’s Leading Trademark Professionals. Focusing on trademark practices and practitioners, WTR 1000 highlights legal expertise, helping brand owners identify and locate the best trademark partners worldwide. In recognizing his debut on the list, WTR 1000 remarked, “Jon Webster brings his in-house experience at Bausch + Lomb to bolster the prosecution wing of upstate outfit Harter Secrest & Emery.”

Previously the Chief Trademark Counsel for Bausch & Lomb Incorporated, Webster has extensive experience in both U.S. and foreign trademark office practice, and is the only Western New York attorney to appear in the 2015 WITR 1000. Since joining HSE in 2013, Webster has counseled clients on the full spectrum of brand portfolio management, including trademark strategies to enhance brand positioning and initiatives; the clearance, adoption, registration, protection, enforcement, use, and licensing of brands; and the development, implementation, and enforcement of trademark policies and practices, including global anti-counterfeiting management.

Selections for the 2015 edition of WTR 1000 were based on extensive research that included more than 1,500 face-to-face and telephone interviews with trademark specialists around the world, conducted by a team of highly-qualified, full-time analysts over a four-month period.
