Patrick Quigley's practice focuses on representing institutional and individual clients in various and complex real estate matters in New York State and throughout the country. Patrick recently completed transactions in Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky and New Jersey and, prior to joining Harter Secrest & Emery, Patrick practiced law in New York City. While in New York City, he represented a client in connection with the acquisition of 55 Wall Street and the Bowery Bank Building, located across from Grand Central Station. The following is a brief description of his practice:

  • Negotiate, review and draft commercial purchase and sale agreements, leases, construction and mortgage loan documents, and other real estate related agreements.
  • Counsel clients in the formation of business entities, including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, in connection with their sale, purchase, leasing and development of real property and self-storage facilities.
  • Draft Joint Venture Agreements to allow for private equity investing in real property and self-storage facilities.
  • Represent national retail tenants in their commercial leasing throughout the country.
  • Represent and advise investors, owners and operators of self-storage facilities throughout the country.
  • Draft offering plans for condominium and homeowners associations.
  • Represent and counsel Board of Managers for various condominium and homeowners associations, including the largest homeowners association in the Finger Lakes region.
  • Assist clients in completing their 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchanges.
  • Review title and surveys in connection with commercial real estate transactions.
