

Greg Scholand advises businesses, landowners, developers, municipalities, and public authorities on a wide variety of land use, zoning, and environmental matters. His experience includes assisting clients with regulatory compliance, municipal approvals, zoning issues, and permitting for industrial, commercial, residential, and mixed-use construction and development projects.
As a former trade publication editor, Greg provides clients with close attention to detail and focused, goal-oriented advocacy. His practice includes:
- Due diligence in transactions involving real property interests.
- Regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing such topics as hazardous substance management, air emissions, and waste disposal.
- Permitting under the Clean Air Act, the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, and other environmental statutes and regulations.
- Participation in the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.
- New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) review for regulated actions of all sizes, including those requiring preparation of environmental impact statements.
- Litigation to establish liability for damages and cleanup costs associated with contaminated properties.
