For more than 25 years, Nick Gatto has been counselling public and private entities on a range of corporate finance strategies including capital markets investments, bankruptcy, workout and restructures.

Nick represents borrowers, lenders, and investors in transactions for the financing of acquisitions, working capital, refinancings and consolidations, and debtor-in-possession operations, among other matters. Nick has negotiated and closed a number of sophisticated financings, both domestic and international, including syndicated institutional loans, high yield debentures, preferred stock, mezzanine finance, real estate finance, project finance, insurance company private placements, asset-based finance, and commercial hard money finance.

Nick began his legal career in the business reorganization group of the law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges, the nation’s largest corporate chapter 11 practice. He has appeared in the bankruptcy courts of the states of New York, New Jersey, Florida, Ohio, and Connecticut. Nick has advised clients in the entertainment, financial services, gaming, health care, manufacturing, and retail industries, among others, on bankruptcy, insolvency, and workout matters. He has counselled clients in all stages of a chapter 11 case from filing to debtor-in-possession financing to plan negotiation and confirmation. Nick has also represented a number of financial institutions and other large creditor constituencies in in- and out-of-court restructures.
